Abstract

An image protector which may be applied to a photograph comprises a transparent film having a pressure sensitive adhesive layer containing an acid acting neutralizing agent an intermediate resinous adhesive and a back layer of silicone resin to permit winding in rolls may be provided. The transparent film may be polyethylene terephthalate, cellulose acetate or cellulose nitrate which may be painted with polyvinyl alkyl ether, rosin ester gum, naphtha, isopropyl alcohol and water with lactic acid, and dried. The Specification also refers to the coating of a wet transfer positive to form a polyvinyl pyrrolidone glaze containing oxalic acid. Details of the adhesive composition are given.
