Abstract

985,880. Threshing machines. G. CLAAS. Nov. 21, 1963 [Dec. 20, 1962], No. 46063/63. Heading A1F. In a threshing machine wherein a rotary member 13 and an associated grid 14 receive the threshed straw after it leaves the threshing drum 11, the grid is capable of reciprocation in a horizontal direction during operation of the machine. The machine is provided with an elevator feeding crop to the threshing drum 11 and concave 12 and is provided with an auger 18 to receive grain passing through the grid 14, this grain then being fed through a duct to the grain-pan 20. The grid comprises arcuate rods 16 secured to a crossshaft 15 which is spring-mounted at one end and terminates at the other end in a face-cam 22 in contact with a correspondingly-shaped driven face-cam 23. The bias of the spring 24 is adjustable by relative rotation of fixed and movable bushes 26, 27.
