Abstract
A flux for use in casting light metal alloys, copper, copper alloys, or iron alloys comprises a mixture of NaCl, KCl, SnCl2, B2O3, LiCl, BaSO4 and NaF. The flux is preferably made by mixing LiCl+B2O3, SnCl2+B2O3, NaF+ BaSO4 and KCl+NaCl, these pairs of compounds then being mixed together in the order as above. Examples are given as follows: <TABS:0971463/C6-C7/1> all figures being weight percentages.
