Abstract

The processes of making a needled flexible non-woven fabrics and the fabrics themselves disclosed in Specifications 915,682 and 953,693 are modified in that at least a part of the adhesive layer is of a different colour from the fibres. The adhesive layer may be in bands of two or more different colours or it may be a basic colour having a pattern in one or more different colours applied to it. If two plied fleeces are used the adhesive layer may be of a different colour from both of them or it may be the same colour as one of the fleeces the other fleece being of a different colour. The fibres may be uneven in distribution and this can be done by arranging the needles at selected spacings, using needles of different lengths or varying the length of penetration and/or the speed of the needling operation.
