Abstract

951,459. Knitting-machines. S.DOLINSKY. July 8,1960, No. 23961/60. Heading D1C. A thread guide assembly for a warp knitting machine comprises a base 9 to which are permanently affixed, to extend outwardly therefrom, mutually parallel shanks 1, to the free ends of which are removably secured eyed tips 2. The tips are interlocked with the shanks, as by slots if in the tips or shanks, to receive the shanks or tips, bosses 4 on the one engaging with holes 5 or indentations in the other. One wall of the slot is slit longitudinally at 12. The shanks may be provided with lead receiving holes 3 and be cast into the base, which may be of lead or an alloy; or parallel slits may be made in a steel plate, to form integral shanks and base. The assembly is secured to the guide bar 8 by, for example, a washered screw 11.
