[Also in Division D1] A chain link for use in a gantry chain of an Axminster carpet loom is formed from a sheet metal blank and has spaced parts 6, containing aligned holes 2 for receiving pins, and a central aperture 8 adapted to receive an extension of a spool holder. Lugs 9 are bent to guide the entry of the spool holder extension into the aperture.
