[Also in Divisions B8 and F3] A plastics valve bag is formed by sealing areas at one end of a flattened tube or a pair of superposed sheets to form a neck, side seams also being formed in the second case, and turning the body inside out over the neck so that the latter forms an internal valve. The initially inner surfaces are preferably of a mirror finish and the initially external surfaces may be printed upon. Various shapes of neck are described and the body may be as shown in Fig. 2. The tube reversal process may be performed by tubular members 10, 11 moving as shown in Fig. 4. A filling nozzle, Fig. 11a, which only penetrates the valve part-way has a portion 23 fitting the flared neck of the latter and discharge openings 23.
