Abstract
856,958. Bottles. EVERS, H. Jan. 21, 1959 [Jan. 22, 1958], No. 2279/59. Class 66. A bottle for beer or other drinks containing carbon dioxide is made of synthetic thermoplastic material and is formed with at least one part-spherical zone. As shown, the bottle comprises two such zones 1, 2 connected by a seam 3, zone 1 having ribs 4 and zone 2 having helical ribs 5. The interior of the bottle has vertical ribs 6. A bottom member 7 has two strengthening webs extending at right angles to each other, Fig. 2 (not shown). The bottle may be of polyethylene, polypropylene or polyamides, and may be formed by blow-moulding, injection moulding or die-casting. When the pressure inside the bottle rises the part-spherical portions expand symmetrically.
