936,524. Carding-engines. E. BETTONI. Aug. 17, 1961 [Aug. 20, 1960], No. 29672/61. Class 120 (1). A carding machine has a frame that includes a pair of parallel ribbed plates 1 connected by cross-pieces 9, 10, each plate 1 having a panel 4 secured to its upper surface to support the rotary shafts, of the machine, and associated with one of the panels 4 is another panel 11 on which may be mounted transmission elements. The frame is carried on feet 73 adjustable for height by means of screws. Beneath the main cylinder of the machine there is provided a grid that is pivoted and counterweighted for ease in cleaning and an adjustable cleaning device is arranged over the doffer.
