Abstract
921,287. Hair driers. ELECTROLUX Ltd. July 3, 1959 [July 4, 1958], No. 22905/59. Class 81 (2). [Also in Group XXVIII] A hair drying hood comprises an air-impermeable casing 10 with an air discharge outlet 14 and an air distribution duct 11 which is connected to a source of compressed air, is disposed around the hood intermediate its top and bottom and has an inner airpermeable wall convex to the interior of the hood. The hood may be made of thin synthetic plastic cloth. The inner wall of the duct 11, which is annular, has perforations 26, 27. The upper and lower edges of the hood are turned in to form hems which define the discharge outlet 14 and the head opening 15 respectively. The upper hem receives a draw cord 23 by which the size of the discharge outlet may be adjusted and the lower hem receives an elastic band. The air distribution duct is connected to the outlet of a vacuum cleaner by a bore 19 which discharges radially into the duct. Each end of the bore is clamped between internal and external conical members 17, 18, 20, 21 (see Group XXVIII).
