Abstract

1,027,097. Hair driers. RAYETTE, Inc. Feb. 1, 1965 [Feb. 11, 1964 ], No. 4278/65. Heading A5R. A portable hair drier comprises a rigid hollow-walled hood 10, a base member 12 which for transit fits over the opening 14 to the hood, and a duct 22a, 22b, articulated with a part 34, supplying hot air from an electric heater and fan in the base member to the hollow wall of the hood. The parts 22a, 22b may be adjusted telescopically and the hood is detachable from the duct part 34 for transit, when it may be held over the base member by a latch 90. The hood is circular or oval in plan, the inner wall 52 is perforated to supply the air to the user's head, and a filter is provided in the air inlet 20 to the base member. The hood and parts of the base member are of a plastics material.
