In a rake-wheel type of haymaking machine having pivoted arms 11 for supporting the rake-wheels 14 on the main frame 34, the frame has a series of fixed supports 15 for the arms which locate the latter relatively to the frame when the rake-wheels are lifted to a transport position. The main frame is V-shaped and is supported on three swivel-wheels 31, 32, 33 one of which is lockable, the other two being casters. A perforated rib 36 extends around the apex of the frame and receives the ends of a drawbar 37 and associated strut 38 in a number of alternative positions, corresponding to different directions of traction, the rake-wheel arms 11 being turnable from the position shown, for side-delivery, to a position wherein they extend perpendicularly to the limb of the frame, for tedding Fig. 2 (not shown), each arm 11, is pivoted, about a horizontal pivot 9 to a bracket 6 pivoted to the frame by a vertical pivot 2, the bracket 6 being lockable in various angular positions by a pin 8 passed through aligned holes in the bracket and in a plate 4 fixed to the frame 34. A chain 19 and spring 18 limit the downward movement of the rake-wheel, the chain having a variable anchorage 20 on the frame to alter the downward pressure of the rake-wheel on the ground.
