Abstract

920,778. Haymaking machines. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. July 7, 1959 [July 22, 1958], No. 20381/61. Divided out of 920,776. Class 6(3). In a rake-wheel type of haymaking machine wherein the rake-wheels 14 are carried by arms 11 pivoted on the frame 1 of the machine, each arm is adjustable relatively to the frame by means of a hydraulic piston and cylinder 24, 23. The arrangement is shown applied to the machine forming the subject of Specification 920,776, each arm being pivoted at 9 to a bracket 6 itself pivoted to the frame about a vertical pin 5, to the upper end of which the cylinder 23 is pivoted by a. horizontal pin. The piston-rod 25 is yoked to a standard 17 on the arm 11. Fluid is supplied by a conduit 30 common to all the cylinders and the arrangement enables the arm 11 to be lifted in any position of the bracket 6 around its pivot 5. A locking sector engageable by a pin 8 secures the bracket in position. Specification 920,777 also is referred to.
