917,908. Securing cranks on shafts. SWFSPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHEOR G. RAU G.m.b.H. Jan. 31, 1961 [Feb. 12, 1960], No. 3557/61. Class 80 (2). A crank 11<SP>1</SP> for connecting windscreen wiper tandem arms to a motor shaft 2 is axially positioned on the conical end of the shaft 2 by a nut 12 and is held in a predetermined angular position relative to the shaft by, as shown, a projection 22 on a plate 21 fast with the crank 11<SP>1</SP> engaging a slot 20 in the shaft end. In Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown) a straight edge of the plate a uts a flat on the shaft and in Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown), a rightangled member has one arm fast with the shaft whilst the other abuts the side of the crank.
