Abstract

915,543. Spring clips. BRITISH MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Oct. 11, 1961 [Dec. 15, 1960], No. 43243/60. Class 44. A clip for retaining a draught excluder 8 on a supporting flange 5 is produced from a strip of steel, aluminium or like material by stamping or pressing to form a series of inverted U-shaped portions 1 connected by and extending at rightangles from narrow marginal parts 2. The portions 1 are formed with tangs 4 which perforate the draught excluder 8 to frictionally engage the flange. The upper ends of the portions 1 may be bent over at right-angles and the parts 2 may be slotted at intervals to facilitate bending the clip.
