Abstract

The aluminum strip used to support tapestry or similar hanging material, is designed so that it is completely concealed after installation, this being carried out by hand pressure. The strip has a row of rectangular openings along it, so that the strip can be mounted on a surface by using staples which bridge the remaining metal between the openings. Rows of holes are also included where the strip is to be secured by nails instead of staples. Along the bottom edge is punched out a row of spikes. The tapestry is forced over these spikes, along its top edge, then the strip is simply bent outwards and upwards into a U-shaped, calmping the edge of the tapestry between the arms of the U. The bottom edge may be similarly secured.
