A timepiece has a hand 22 which moves over a minute scale, a central hand 23 which moves over a seconds scale and a hundredths of minutes scale, and a three-part pointer 24 which moves over a scale which indicates tenths of seconds or thousandths of minutes depending on the gear ratio employed in the drive.
