Abstract
1,254,389. Watches. TIMEX CORP. May 21, 1970 [June 9, 1969], No.24763/70. Heading G3T. A watch (1) Fig.1 (not shown) has a manually rotatable indicator ring 11 which is moulded from nylon and is snap-fitted on to a metal or plastics bezel 3 where it is held against accidental rotation by three spring feet 20 which are integral with the ring 11. The feet 20 are of arched form and press the ring 11 in the direction of arrow A so that tapered surfaces 21, 16 on the ring and bezel respectively are normally in contact. The ring 11, which is knurled, is depressed for rotation, and its upper surface 18 may be scaled to indicate elapsed time, different time zones, or days of the week or dates. In addition to its conventional second, minute, and hour hands (5, 6, 7) the watch may have a hand rotating once every twentyfour hours.
