907,140. Endless scraper conveyers; piling material. BECKER-PRUNTE G.m.b.H. July 12, 1960 [July 13, 1959], No. 24254/60. Classes 78 (1) and 78 (4). A section of the trough of an endless scraper conveyer for conveying manure and discharging it on to a heap is mounted on an arm which is slewable about a spindle 7 and which may be luffable, and the bottom of the trough section is provided with one or more downwardly hingeable plates 14 forming selectable delivery points. Scrapers 2, mounted on an endless chain, having passed the delivery points and a guide-plate 15 adjacent the driving sprocket 3, pivot downwardly to allow any remaining manure to fall off, a guide rail 16 being provided to return the scrapers to their operative positions. In order to compensate for the changes in length of the two runs of the conveyer chain during slewing of the arm between the positions shown in Figs. 2 and 4, a sprocket 4 is rotatably mounted on the spindle 7, and is of such a diameter that the two runs of the chain are spread apart adjacent the sprocket, guide rollers 5, 6 being provided on a fixed section of the conveyer and on the arm, respectively.
