Abstract
891,132. Knitting. WIRKMASCHINENBAU APOLDA VEB. Oct. 22, 1958, No. 33861/58. Class 74 (2). Fall plates are employed in a Raschel machine having a single or two needle beds and ground and plush yarn guides, the fall plates pushing the plush yarns beneath the latches of the needles so that they are cast off with the previous course loops thereby forming fall plate laps in the usual way. In addition the plush yarns are passed around points opposite the needles of a single bed machine to form the plush loops, Fig. 2, or are lapped around the needles of the opposite bed in the case of a two-bed machine, Fig. 4, each bed in the latter case having its own ground yarn. Alternatively, the yarn guides for the plush yarns may be so disposed as to lay their yarns beneath the latches.
