Abstract

879,084. Ring spinning frames. CASABLANCAS HIGH DRAFT CO. Ltd. Feb. 22, 1960 [Feb. 27, 1959], No. 6945/59. Classes 120(2) and 120(3) A ring spinning frame has two rows of spindles 4 and associated drafting mechanisms 5 arranged on opposite sides of a gangway 3 beneath which sliver packages 8 may be accommodated. The gangway 3 is intended for use by an operative attending the spinning elements and another operative may attend to the packages 8. The space between spinning frames may be covered level with the gangway 3; the cover, including hinged flaps, giving access to the packages 8. Upper and lower sliver assisting rollers 11, 12 may be provided and the lower rollers 11 are preferably connected to a machine stop motion or visual indication system operable if a sliver should break or the supply fail.
