Abstract
869,173. Cartons. ALLIANCE BOX CO. Ltd. Feb. 17, 1960 [April 24, 1959], No. 14002/59. Class 18. A carton, or a lid therefor, of corrugated paper or card is formed of two blanks, Fig. 1, one comprising four sides 4-7, a securing flap 8, and two flaps 9, 10, the other comprising three panels 1-3, the panel 3 being stapled over the panel 5. The carton or lid is erected as shown in Fig. 3 the panel 1 being tucked in to lie inside the side 7. If used as a lid, finger grips are provided in the sides 5, 7. The lid is turned through 90 degrees with respect to the carton so that a closed carton has walls of treble thickness and the top and bottom are of double thickness.
