Abstract
859,892. Photo-electric exposure control. GOSSEN & CO. G.m.b.H., P. Dec. 18, 1957 [Dec. 24, 1956], No. 39353/57. Class 40(3). In a camera in which the aperture is controlled by the galvanometer of a photo-electric exposure meter, movements of the coil 10 are transmitted to the diaphragm parts 2, 3 through a magnetic coupling or couplings. The coil 10 carries a cross-bar 12 having a magnet 14, 15 at each end, or a magnet at one end and a counterweight at the other, to co-operate with ferro-magnetic parts 8, 9 of the diaphragm parts 2, 3. In a modification, Fig. 11, the coil carries an indicating pointer 41, and manual control of the diaphragm is provided by a hand lever 45 which co-operates with the pointer 41 and carries a cam 47 which closes a switch 48 to short-circuit the photo-cell.
