878,166. Photo-electric exposure control. KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE DRESDEN VEB Oct. 14, 1959, No. 34815/59. Class 40(3) In a camera having photo-electric exposure control a setting handle, when moved to an "automatic" position, operates a switch in the photo-electric circuit. A camera diaphragm is controlled through an arm 8 by a pin 5 attached to a moving coil mechanism 4. For manual settings an index 16 is placed on the appropriate mark on the scale 17. A member 9 drives a pin 6 to set the correct aperture. For automatic setting, index 16 is placed on the mark "A". A lug 20 then disengages from the rail 18 and a spring 12 lifts the handle 10 so that lug 20 engages a stop 19, member 9 simultaneously meeting a contact 21 to complete the photoelectric circuit. Resistances 23, 24, 25 are selectively connected in parallel with the photo-cell 22 to allow for exposure time or frame speed. The switch may be in parallel with the photo-cell and opened in the automatic position.
