Class 64(2) The invention concerns a valve by which water from a source of hot water such as a boiler or hot water tank, or return water from heat consuming apparatus, or a mixture of the two, may be passed to the consuming apparatus. A baffle 6, when the return-water outlet 2 from the valve to the hot water source is closed by the valve member 5 as shown, prevents the return water, by-passing from an inlet 3 to an outlet 4 to the heat consumer system, from drawing with it hot water from an inlet 1 connected to the flow outlet of the hot water source. It is said to be known to have such a valve without the baffle 6 and possibly with the valve member 5 co-acting with the hot inlet instead of the return outlet 2. In another embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), the inlet 1 and outlet 2 are combined in a single coupling flange
