Class 20(2) A tubular rung 13 of a ladder has longitudinally extending ribs 14 reduced at the end to form a shoulder against which the tubular stile 11 abuts when the rung is fitted into aligned holes therein, the outer hole having recesses into which the ribs fit, and the end being finally swaged over.
