Abstract
837,381. Loud-speakers. KOLSTERBRANDES Ltd. Oct. 9, 1958, No. 32213/58. Class 40 (4). A moving coil loud-speaker includes a condenser whose capacity varies with movement of the loud-speaker cone so as to generate a negative feed-back which is applied to the input of the amplifier. The condenser is formed, Fig. 1, by metallized portions on the cone 3 and a stationary member 4. The moving electrode 3<1> may be an extension of the coil former, Fig. 2, and co-operate with a fixed cylinder 4<1>. The low-frequency response may be improved by an equalizing network, Fig. 6. An attenuator may be incorporated in the input to the amplifier to reduce the H.P. response.
