Abstract
817,767. Air supply for combustion. McCAW, G. E. July 15, 1957 [Sept. 5, 1956], No. 27126/56. Class 126 A duct 19 which supplies heated secondary air from the asnpit of a vertical boiler 10 to the rear of and above the firebed is supported by a flange 20 in the collar 18 of an aperture in the grate. The duct has a damper 21 at its lower end connected by linkage 22 to the exterior of the boiler. There may be more than one duct, the ends of which may be curved or angled and the duct or ducts may be formed integral with the grate.
