[Also in Group XIII] A solid fuel fireplace for mounting in an air heating recess 8 comprises separable body portions, a front portion 1, housing a grate 4, and a rear portion 2, housing a boiler 11, which is secured to the floor of the recess 8 independently of the front portion and communicates through a neck 18 with a chimney 20. Lugs 13 on the portion 2 are screwed to the floor of the recess and lugs 15 are screwed to lugs 16 on the portion 1. A projecting part 22 of the boiler forms with a top member 29 a throat controlled by an adjustable damper 24 and a flue 26 behind the boiler is controlled by an adjustable damper 27.
