Abstract
816,884. Weighing apparatus. PREPARATION INDUSTRIELLE DES COMBUSTIBLES. Dec. 14, 1956 [Oct. 26, 1956], No. 38253/56. Class 143 [Also in Group XXX] A shoot 6 which can be directed to deliver a measured quantity of material to either of two skips 7 of a skip hoist is located near the hoist. As illustrated the shoot 6 receives material from a weighing or volume-measuring hopper 5 fed by a conveyer 4 from a feeder 3 which extracts material delivered to a shoot 2 by a tippler 1. In an alternative construction however (Fig. 2, not shown) the hopper 5 is disposed at the opposite end of the conveyer 4 so that one full skip charge may be carried by the hopper 5 and another may be distributed on the conveyer 4. The conveyer 4, the diverting shoot 6, and the gates of the hopper 5 and of the conveyer 4 are controlled by suitable relay and time switches and by feelers gauging the position of the material on the conveyer 4. The tippler 1 is controlled in accordance with the volume of material in the shoot 2.
