Abstract
1,099,228. Loading skips. SIEMAG MASCHI. NEN - UND STAHLBAU NETPHEN G.m.b.H. March 1, 1965 [April 15, 1964], No. 8714/65. Heading B8E. [Also in Division G1] Apparatus for filling skips 11 from a supply bunker 1 comprises a metering belt having a weigher 6 and a shoot 7 having a weigher 8 and closure flaps 10. In operation, an actuator 4 opens the gate 5 of the bunker 1 and the belt 3 runs at a reduced loading speed. When a predetermined proportion of a skip load has reached the shoot 7, the belt 3 is stopped, the belt 3 being capable of holding the rest of a load and when a skip 11 enters the discharge station the closure flaps 10 are opened and the belt 3 is driven at an increased filling speed until the skip is full. The loading of the shoot 7 may be controlled by top detector flaps sensing the volume therein. Two shoots 7 are placed side by side with an intervening deflector shoot 14 to supply skips in adjacent shafts 9. The metering of the shoot 7 may be omitted, control being effected by the weigher 6 alone.
