The depth of depression of keylevers 1 is adjustable by a common setting device which comprises a pivotal upper stop rail 14 adjustable by an eccentric cam 20. The points of contact between the rail 14 and the key-levers 1 are variable to conform with different length keys so that adjustment of the rail 14 will vary the depth of depression of all keys by a like amount. The cam 20 is rotated by gearing 19, link 18 and lever 17 which is resiliently biased to a notched cam groove in an adjusting member 23. Key actions. An extension 3 of the keylever 1, engages a trip lever 5 and actuates a cam 7 fulcrummed on shaft 6. When cam 7 engages a power roller 8, an actuating lever 9, through intermediate lever 10 and link 11, operates the type-bar 12.
