Abstract
795,005. Conduits. MEK-ELEK ENGINEERING, Ltd., and COOPER, H. C. Oct. 1, 1956 [Sept. 30, 1955], No. 27974/55. Class 36. A cable 19 is held against creeping along a conduit 10 by a spring blade 22 extending along the length of the conduit and being secured, at least at one end, to the conduit. The blade may be bowed so that its two ends abut one side of the conduit and an intermediate portion presses against the cable. The blade may be secured in the conduit by a metal strip 25 passing through a slot in the blade and fastened to the conduit by rivet 27. Alternatively the end of the blade may be directly riveted to the conduit or may be formed with a tongue which engages a hole in the conduit. The surface of the blade may be coated, roughened or deformed to increase its friction against the cable.
