Abstract
794,170. Screw-plug closures. SEIDEL, H., and RITZENHOFF, H., [trading as SEIDEL KOMM-GES., GEB.]. Oct. 26, 1956, No. 32707/56. Class 125(3). A screw plug closure arrangement for rubber hot water bottles and the like comprises a substantially cylindrical screw-threaded female member A which is secured in the container opening and has an inwardly and upwardly bent rim 2 carrying a gasket ring 3, and a hollow screw plug B having the shape of an inverted cup with a bent over rim 5 which engages gasket 3 and provided with a handhold C. In a modification, Fig. 2, the gasket 3 is replaced by a disc 6 supported by the screw plug which engages a groove 7. In a further modification the handhold is integral with plug B.
