Abstract

875,065. Container closures. PERMUTA CLOSURES Ltd. Dec. 29, 1958 [Sept. 26, 1957], No. 30238/57. Class 125(3). A stopper moulded from synthetic resin has one or more annular ribs 2, 3 at each end, the intervening space being formed as a continuous helical groove 4. A flanged disc may be used to close the lower end of the stopper ; or a cylindrical shell closed at one end may be telescoped into the shell of the stopper open end inwards. The stopper is designed to allow air to escape from a bottle or jar by means of the helical grooves. Means for inserting a corkscrew may be provided at the upper end of the stopper.
