Abstract

793,168. Screw fastenings. LECHLER, P., and LECHLER, K., [trading as LECHLER, P. [Firm of]]. Aug. 8, 1956 [Aug. 13, 1955], No. 24318/56. Class 44 [Also in Group XXIX] A nozzle part 1 is mounted in a housing 4 welded to a feed pipe 3, and is retained in position by a screw cap 2. The nozzle part makes a dovetailed connection with the housing which prevents its axial withdrawal therefrom. In order to prevent inadvertent removal of the screw cap. an annular groove is formed in the periphery of the part 1 and is engaged by a perforated locking plate 6 having its ends turned back against the cap. The plate may comprise a slot extending from one end for engagement with the groove or, alternatively, a spring clip 9, Fig. 4, may be used having an open loop shaped, to engage the groove.
