Abstract

735,202. Hypodermic injection apparatus. SURDENT MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. Feb. 23, 1954 [Feb. 26, 1953], No. 5380/53. Class 81 (2). A hypodermic syringe is provided with a nozzle having a screw-thread, an injection needle being held on the syringe by a locking nut which engages the screwthread and is provided with lugs which grip shoulders on the needle. The syringe nozzle is provided with a screw-thread which receives a locking nut 5 provided with lugs 6 which engage shoulders 8 on the needle mount to secure the needle to the syringe. The needle mount has opposed flattened portions 9 between the shoulders 8 which enable the needle to be inserted between the lugs 6 of the locking nut 5. On rotating the needle through 90 degrees the shoulders 8 pass beneath the lugs 6 and on tightening the nut 5 the needle is held securely.
