Abstract
787,212. Door operating appliances. KNOX, G. July 23, 1956 [Nov. 4, 1955], No. 31549/55. Class 65(1) [Also in Group XVII] The lid 1 of a towel dispensing cabinet (see Group XVII) is held in the open posisition or assisted in opening by a compression spring 20 carried on a link 19 pivoted on each side of the lid adjacent the hinge 2, the link 19 being slidable in a member 21 on which the spring presses, and the member 21 being secured to a lever 16 one end of which carries or bears on the pivot pin or the end of a take-up roller 11 for the towelling. The diameter of the latter increases as the towelling is used causing the ends (or pivot pins) of the roller 11 to rise up in slots 15 in side plates 5.
