A tractor wheel comprises a pair of axially spaced edge-on annular rims 1, 2, presenting narrow smooth ground-engaging surfaces 3, 4 and smooth, radially elongated mutually facing surfaces defining a space 5 therebetween devoid of any projecting wheel part throughout the radial extent of the rims, the said mutually facing surfaces being disposed either normal to the rotational axis of the wheel, or at an angle not less than 80 degrees thereto, Fig. 4. As shown, the axially outer faces of the rims 1, 2 carry axially projecting, circumferentially spaced ground-engaging lugs, none of which project radially beyond the peripheral rim surfaces 3, 4, and the rims 1, 2 are connected by spokes 11 to inner rings 8, 9 which are secured to the periphery of a dished wheel disc 10 by means of elongated bolts 12 carrying spacer sleeves 13. The spacers 13 permit adjustable spacing of the rims 1, 2 from each other and from the disc periphery, and the wheel disc is reversible on a tractor axle to permit further track-width variation. The lugs 6 may be flat plates as shown, set obliquely to the rim periphery to leave the ground substantially vertically during use, and if desired, set obliquely, instead of normal, to the plane of the rims. Alternatively, the lugs may be of V-shape with the apex directed radially outwardly.
