Abstract

995,552. Twin wheel assemblies. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. April 4, 1962 [April 6, 1961], No. 12885/62. Heading B7C. In a twin wheel assembly, wheel rim 1 is clipped to annular support 2, which is rigidly secured by studs 6 to flange 5a of axle 5, and wheel rim 8 is clipped to annular support 9 having holes 11 with a large clearance for the studs 6 which clamp the support 9 in position through rubber spacing rings 12 and 13 so that the second wheel is resiliently mounted to permit relative displacement of the axes of rotation of the wheels. Both rims will pass over support 2 and may therefore be withdrawn after ring 4 is removed. Rings 12 and 13 may comprise a number of rubber blocks.
