Abstract

781,987. Vehicle wheels; disc brakes. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd. Sept. 23, 1955 Oct. 26, 1954], No. 30793/54. Classes 103 (1), 144 (1) and 144 (2). A wheel and brakedisc assembly comprises an annular load-bearing wheel body disc 5 having an outer peripheral axially extending cylindrical portion 9 to the free end of which is securec an annular brake-disc 12 while a wheel rim 1 having a radially inwardly extending flange 2 is detachably secured to the radial portion 5 of the wheel body. As shown, the wheel body radial portion 5 carries circumferentially spaced studs 8 to extend through holes 3 in the rim flange 2, and the axial portion 9 of the wheel body terminates in radially outwardly directed flange 10 to which the brake disc 12 is bolted. A strengthening rib 6 on the wheel body serves for the mounting of a snap-on hub cap 7.
