781,247. Toy vehicles. MANGOLD, H. Feb. 22, 1956 [Feb. 25, 1955], No. 5503/56. Class 132(3) The differential gear of a toy vehicle comprises a rotatable frame k having secured to it a crown wheel i and a further crown wheel o which is rotatably mounted on a portion q of the frame. One half a of the axle carries a pinion m having an extended portion t bored to rotatably support the inner end of the other halfaxle b. which has a pinion n secured thereon. The inner ends of the axles thus mutually support each other, support (not shown) for the outer ends of the axles being provided in another part of the vehicle. The.drive to the differential gear is via gearing c, g from a shaft h. A modification comprises a bore formed in one half-axle to receive the reduced inner end portion of the other half-axle. Alternatively, the axle ends may be supported for rotation in a sleeve provided between the differential pinions.
