935,201. Motor vehicle driving gear. GENERAL ENGINEERING CO. A.B. Sept. 21, 1961 [Sept. 28, 1960], No. 33889/61. Class 79(2). A combined driving and steering unit of an industrial truck with an annular steering bearing 4 has a motor 1 above the bearing 4 and a transmission comprising a vertical shaft 16 extending through the bearing 4 and a pair of bevel, gears 14, 15, the gear casing extension housing the gear 14, which is keyed to the axle 9 of wheel 3, being bounded by the hub and rim of the wheel 3. Electric motor 1 drives shaft 16 through spur gears 18, 19.
