Abstract

774,748. Surgical swab holders. JOHNSON & JOHNSON. May 27, 1955 [June 1, 1954], No. 15412/55. Class 81(2) A swab holder comprises a stick 11, of synthetic resin material, having barbs 20 at its end to secure a quantity of cotton wool wound round it. The end 12 is preferably of reduced diameter, compared with the main body of the stick, and the barbs may be in two diametrically disposed rows, the rows being staggered, orin four rows equally spaced around the circumference. Preferably both ends of the stick are adapted to receive swabs.
