772,603. Driving endless conveyers. GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE STERKRADE AKT.- GES. April 2, 1954 [May 22, 1953], No. 9776/54. Class 78 (1). In an endless conveyer, comprising for example an articulated plate or trough conveyer member, which is driven by an electric motor 5 through reduction gearing 6, the conveyer shaft 3 is provided with teeth 8 which engage with clearance 10 within the hollow output shaft 7 of the gearing 6. The axial length of interengagement of the shafts is limited to that necessary to provide a toothed coupling for transmitting the driving torque.
