Abstract

768,388. Garage lifts. BECKER, R., and BECKER, nee PFIRSCHING, A., [trading as BECKER & SOHNE MASCHINENFABRIK, J. A.]. Dec. 1, 1954, No. 34794/54. Class 78 (3). A garage lift comprises a horizontal girder 2 secured to the top of a ram 1 and pivoted to pairs of horizontally swinging arms A provided with vertically adjustable vehicle supporting pads 9. The arms A are pivoted at 5 to members 3 which are slidable along girder 2, whilst the pads 9 are slidable along arms A. In a modification (Figs. 5, 6, not shown) the arms each comprise a plurality of pivotally interconnected links which can be moved into a stowed position between the flanges of girder 2 and which can be locked in their operative positions by catches or the like (not shown). Specification 683,600 is referred to.
