758,708. Floor polishing machines. STAEHLE. G. Dec. 3, 1954 [Dec. 23, 1953], No. 35036/54. Class 138(1) In a dust aspiring floor-polishing machine having a motor shaft 1 with a vaned wheel 3 thereon and a cylindrical friction roller 4 directly mounted on the shaft and driving brush-driving discs 6, the roller 4 contacts the discs 6 only by a portion projecting beyond the end of the shaft 1. As shown the roller 4, which drives brushes 7 on the discs 6, has at its upper end a conical bore which fits over the lower conical end 10 of the shaft 1 of the motor 2. The roller is secured by a screw 11 disposed in a cylindrical bore 12 in the roller. The .vaned wheel 3 is pressed, by a nut 8 on the shaft 1, against a ball bearing 9.
