The transverse member 2 at the rear of a tractor has a number of holes 14 for the attachment of crossed links 7, 8 which are connected by further universal joints to the transverse member 3<SP>1</SP> on the trailer and the points of attachment to the towing vehicle are spaced apart to a greater degree than those on the towed vehicle.
