Abstract
571,819. Vehicle couplings. COLLING- HAM, J., and KEEP, G. E. June 3, 1943, No. 8954. [Class 103 (v)] A coupling for a tractor vehicle comprises a bow-fronted plate a secured by bolts passed through holes c in the plate a to the draw-bar cap of the tractor. A slot e, through which a coupling member is passed, is formed in the bow-fronted part by a curved bar f secured to the plate a and distanced from it. Holes g and g<1>are provided for pins by which the coupling member may be secured. The holes also allow of a lateral strengthening bar being attached at one end to the plate by a pin through a hole, the other end of the strengthening-bar being secured by a pin to the coupling member. Coupling members as described in Specification 571,820 may be used. The framing and crossbars described in Specification 571,818 may be used together with the plate a of the present Specification.
