Abstract
749,290. Reservoir pens. BUSCHLE, P. Feb. 26, 1954 [March 6, 1953], No. 5789/54. Class 146(3) A stylographic pen comprises a tubular writing member 1 secured to a detachable plug 2, an ink reservoir 11, a piston 13 movable within the reservoir 11 for dispensing ink to the pen tip, and arranged within the pen, a cleaning device comprising a fine wire a coupled to a spindle 6 extending transversely of the pen between the reservoir 11 and a tip section 4 and having an operating wheel 7. The reservoir 11 is detachable from an intermediate section 9, such that, by operation of the piston 13, a flexible tube 10 may draw in ink from a supply. A detent 14 co-operating with a piston-actuating knob 15 permits measured quantities of ink to be supplied to a cavity 4<SP>1</SP> from the reservoir 11 on actuation of the piston 13. The shaft 6 carries a link 5 on which a guide bar 3 carrying the wire a is hooked. The plug 2 may be replaced by a similar plug carrying a different size tube 1. A screw b is removed during writing to admit air through an aperture 12.
